Hybrid Planning & Development shortlisted for planning awards

Specialist urban planning consultancy, Hyrbid Planning & Development has been named as a finalist at the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) Awards for Planning Excellence.

Held annually, the RTPI Awards celebrate exceptional examples of planning and the contribution planners make to society.

After the shortlist was announced this week (February 15), Hyrbid’s directors and co-founders, Claire Day and Danielle St Pierre said: ‘This is an enormous but hugely welcome surprise; we’re aware of how popular these awards are every year so know we would’ve faced some tough competition at the judging stage.

‘To be a finalist, and recognised as one of the best nine small planning consultancies in the UK, is absolutely incredible.

‘Our talented and hardworking team has adapted superbly to the challenges of the past year, working with enthusiasm and humour throughout so this shortlisting is just a fantastic acknowledgement of their efforts. We congratulate all the finalists and look forward to finding out the winners!’

RTPI President, Wei Yang FRTPI added: “Many congratulations to all the finalists at this year’s RTPI Awards for Planning Excellence. These projects, teams and individuals showcase the very best of the planning profession from all the RTPI’s regions and nations and from countries around the world.

‘For over 40 years, these prestigious awards have celebrated the exceptional work undertaken by town planners. In the middle of a global pandemic, I believe they are more relevant than ever before, recognising the incredible commitment and dedication of planners who have risen to the challenge of responding to the impacts of Covid-19 on the planning system.’

The RTPI Award winners will be announced during a ceremony held virtually in the AAwards Room on Evessio at 4 pm on 29 April.
