Former Horlicks factory to be transformed into 1,300 new homes

The former Horlicks factory in Slough has received planning permission for a resident-led, mixed-use development. 

Working in partnership with the developer Berkely Homes and the landscape architect Bradley Murphy Design, the scheme will deliver 1,300 new homes, 25% of which will be affordable.

The factory is located in the heart of slow, just 20 miles west of central London.

The design will connect with nature by creating open gardens and green streets for the community.

The central neighbourhood gardens will provide a variety of space for community, leisure and play.

The clocktower and chimney from the former factory have been retained and will be used to create a new public square for community activity while also maintaining some historical context.
