Senior Housing Assistant (12 month fixed term contract – secondment opportunity)

PLEASE NOTE: This vacancy is internal only and only open to current employees of Ashfield District Council or anyone currently engaged with the Council through Agency

We are looking for an energetic and driven individual to join our Lettings Team as Senior Housing Assistant.

In this key role, you will be responsible for supervising a small team of Housing Assistants, whose primary task it is to administer the Council’s Housing Register. As part of this, officers assess applications received from residents seeking rehousing and provide them with advice and support. Officers also provide administrative support to the wider housing service.

You will be someone who wants to make a difference and is committed to providing a high-quality customer service. You should be able to work on your own initiative in an organised and structured manner with minimal supervision.

As this role will have its challenges, it is crucial that you are resilient to deal with these and hurdles you may encounter, and that you have strength of character and are solution-focused to achieve the intended outcomes
