Vistry Group and Bloor Homes have secured planning permission for 826 new homes in Leighton West, Crewe. The plans were given the green light at a meeting of Cheshire East Council’s Strategic Planning Board on 27th June.
The site, which received outline planning permission in 2020, was approved in four reserved matters applications for eight parcels of residential land. The plans include 84 affordable houses and 12ha of land for enhanced green infrastructure and landscaping. These new public spaces will include allotments, community orchards, footpaths, cycleways, formal and informal play spaces, outdoor gyms and green corridors.

Vistry and Bloor anticipate a start on site in spring 2025 with the first dwellings being occupied by early 2026.
